This page explains what we collect when you subscribe to Lispresso or visit news.lispresso.ai, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Lispresso is published by Lispresso AI, which decides how your data is used (the "controller"). For anything about your data, write to privacy@lispresso.ai.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you subscribe.
- When and where you signed up, such as the page you subscribed from.
- Whether you open each email and which links you click. This tells us which stories are useful, so we can make the newsletter better.
- What you send us, if you reply to an issue or email us.
Like most web services, Ghost also processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver the site and emails and to keep them secure.
Why we collect it
We use your email address to send you the newsletter you asked for, and the reading data above to improve it. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. Lispresso has no ads, sponsors or advertising pixels.
Your consent
You subscribe yourself, and you confirm by clicking a link we email you. We never add people from other lists. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.
Who processes it for us
- Ghost(Pro), run by the Ghost Foundation, hosts news.lispresso.ai, stores the subscriber list and sends the emails. Ghost acts on our behalf under its data processing agreement. It uses its own email delivery provider and other sub-processors, and lists them on request. Ghost says it stores data in the EU, and that any processing outside the EU is covered by the EU's standard contractual clauses.
- jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, serves the scripts for our signup form and search, so it receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Google Workspace holds our email, including any message you send us.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to news.lispresso.ai to manage your subscription, Ghost uses a cookie to keep you signed in.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record that you did, so we don't email you again by mistake. If you'd like your record deleted entirely, ask us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@lispresso.ai and we'll reply within one month. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll also say so in the next issue.
